आँखा नहुने जीव

तिनी जीव वैज्ञानिक थिइन् । एकदिन तिनले सोधिन् 'शिव! भन त, आँखा नहुने जीव कुन हो? '
मैले उत्तर दिएँ 'मान्छे'।
तिनी एकछिन सोचमा परिन् । तर होइन भन्न सकिनन् । शायद तिनी पनि मात्र जीववैज्ञानिकबाट माथि उठीसकेकी थिइन् ।

...सन्ति सन्तः कियन्तः

मनसि वचसि काये पुण्यपीयूषपूर्णाः
त्रिभुवनमुपकारश्रेणिभिः प्रीणयन्तः।
परगुणपरमाणून्पर्वतीकृत्य नित्यं
निजहृदि विकसन्तः सन्ति सन्तः कियन्तः॥
Meaning
Full of pious nectar in mind, words and body
Pleasing the Three Worlds by successive obligations
Always making a mountain of smallest of others virtue
By developing it in one's own heart, how many
good people of such kind are there?

मधु मधु मधु

मधु वाता ऋतायते मधु क्षरन्ति सिन्धवः । माध्वीर्नः सन्त्वोषधीः ॥६॥
मधु नक्तमुतोषसो मधुमत्पार्थिवं रजः ।
मधु द्यौरस्तु नः पिता ॥७॥
मधुमान्नो वनस्पतिर्मधुमाँ अस्तु सूर्यः ।
माध्वीर्गावो भवन्तु नः ॥८॥

For those who live righteously sweet is the breeze, the rivers are sweet; let the herbs be sweet to us;
Our days and nights are sweet; the Earth is sweet; let the father Heaven be like nectar;
The plants and trees are sweet for us and let the Sun be pleasant to us. Let our cows be (give milk) sweet like honey...
